University of Leeds

The University of Leeds was founded in 1904, but its origins go back to the nineteenth century, with the founding of the Leeds School of Medicine in 1831.

The university has around 33,500 students, the fifth highest number of any university in the UK. From 2006 to present, the university has consistently been ranked second in the UK for the number of applications received, second only to the University of Manchester.
